Historically, Ki Young Ju, along with other prominent figures like Binance's CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) and Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, viewed memecoins as highly volatile and speculative investments. Despite these criticisms, memecoins have continued to gain popularity, often driven by internet culture, memes, and celebrity endorsements. These tokens can experience extreme price fluctuations, reaching incredible highs or plummeting into obscurity.
